    Woodbury serves students grades 5 to 6. As an upper elementary school, Woodbury receives all students from Shaker Heights’ K-4 schools, including Onaway.

    The only public middle school in Shaker Heights, Shaker Heights Middle School serves students from grades 7 to 8. It was formerly known as Byron Junior High School and is considered as the youngest among Shaker Heights schools, having been built in 1957.

    An independent college preparatory day school for girls, Laurel School was founded in 1896. Aside from the Lyman Circle campus, Laurel School also the Butler Campus, opened in 2002. The Lyman Circle campus features state-of-the-art gymnasiums, a visual arts studio, a dance studio, and a Chapel Theatre.

    Founded in 1876, Hathaway Brown is the oldest college prep school for girls in Ohio. Hathaway Brown boasts a curriculum that blends academic and experiential learning. Hathaway Brown also has co-educational Early Childhood Program.

    Shaker Heights is home to the lower campus of all-boys University School, which accepts students grades K-8. The upper campus, which serves students from grades 9-12, is located in Hunting Valley. University School has a rich academic and athletic tradition.
