Summer Splash in The Square
July 1 to August 15, 2021
Presented by the Cleveland Foundation, Summer Splash in The Square is a free event for children of all ages. Drop by Public Square with your kids for fun daily activities like chalk art sessions, fountain playtime, mini-basketball, jump ropes, water tables, and more.
Visit the Cleveland Botanical Garden
Nestled in the heart of Cleveland’s University Circle, the Cleveland Botanical Garden is a sprawling ten-acre urban oasis where visitors can reconnect with nature.
Explore the beautiful gardens and be sure to stop by the two glasshouses. The rainforest glasshouse, in particular, is always a big hit with kids, as it is filled with hundreds of colorful butterflies fluttering throughout its massive interiors.
The Cleveland Botanical Garden is also home to the Hershey Children’s Garden, one of the first venues of its kind in the country. Established back in 1999, the garden still continues to serve as a model for children’s gardens throughout the world. Kids will be able to enjoy activities like observing honeybees, searching for turtles, frogs, and fish in the pond, and learning how to take care of plants.
Fairy Days Festival at Heritage Farms
July 17 and 18, 2021
Enjoy a socially distanced fun-filled weekend with fairies, unicorns, gnomes, dragons, and other enchanting creatures at Heritage Farms’ Fairy Days Festival! The event will feature a fairy house building, exciting games and activities at the tree barn, a mini fairy garden, a unicorn coloring corner, and the Magical Meadow Market, where you can shop for unique items like fairy container gardens, costume accessories, sweet treats, and more.
