Enjoy the summer with these fun camps for kids in and around Chagrin Valley. They keep kids entertained and active, and they’re also great places for them to make friends. Do note that the most popular camps sell out shortly after the registration window begins. Depending on which option you choose, you may want to move quickly.
The Chagrin Valley Rec Center, better known as The Rec, is hosting a summer camp from June through July for children entering grades 1 to 6. The camp will be limited to just 30 campers per day. Activities include martial arts, yoga, painting, LEGO challenges, and building volcanoes. Children will also learn about animals and different cultures around the world.
The Rec Classic Day Camp will take place at The Rec and the Chagrin Falls Middle School Campus. Participants can sign up for half-day and full-day sessions as well as daily and week-long sessions. Send them an email for scheduling and enrollment.
CHAGRIN VALLEY ATHLETIC CLUB SUMMER SPORTS CAMP
Children are invited to join one or more weekly sessions with the Chagrin Valley Athletic Club (CVAC) from June through August of this year. CVAC is organizing two camps for the summer, namely the Junior Activity Camp for children aged 4 to 6 years old and the Sports Camp for children ages 6 to 12. Attendees can sign up for full or half days depending on their availability.
The camps offer non-competitive games, a variety of sports, and arts and crafts in a fun and supportive environment. Those joining swim camp will spend afternoons on a 2.5-acre beach-lined lake with a playground. In case of rain, CVAC offers indoor activities with an indoor pool, fitness center, craft area, and tennis courts. Click here for more information on meals and registration.
CHAGRIN VALLEY FARMS HORSEMANSHIP CAMP
Chagrin Valley Farm (CVF) is hosting its annual summer riding camp from June through August this year. CVF will accept a limited number of children ages 6 and older for daily horseback riding lessons and unmounted horsemanship lessons with qualified instructors. The camp will last nine weeks with full-day and half-day options over the course of the summer at Northeast Ohio’s leading equestrian center.
Rising River Farm offers a horsemanship program for kids under the guidance of qualified instructors and counselors. Participants will receive horseback riding lessons and join a variety of fun activities like hiking, swimming, games, and crafts. Kids will also get the chance to hand-feed the horses snacks on select days of the camp. Their horses are trained and supervised by professionals.
