    Chagrin Falls has an abundance of green open spaces and beautiful parks where the entire family can do a host of activities. Among the places to visit are:

    • River Run Park
      River Run Park has a baseball diamond, a bocce court, a walking path, and a playground with swings and other play equipment. There’s a fenced area for pets, as well.
    • Riverside Park
      Located on the banks of the Chagrin River, Riverside Park features a children’s playground, a picnic shelter, and plenty of open space where kids can run around and play outdoor games.
    • Whitesburg Nature Preserve
      Featuring both fast flowing and slow flowing segments of the Chagrin River, this nature park is a great place for a host of outdoor activities with the family, including wildlife watching, hiking, and fishing.

  2. Explore the farm life at Lake Metroparks Farmpark

    Kids will have a fun time doing a host of farm activities at this attraction, located just 10 miles from Chagrin Falls. Things to see and do here include pony rides, a corn maze, and a barnyard tour where kids will meet sheep, cows, pigs, and other farm animals. Other activities include visiting the Shepherd’s Field and watching how a border collie helps in herding sheep, enjoying a “scratch n’ sniff” garden tour around the Plant Science Center, watching horses help around the farm, and so much more.

  3. Enjoy the rides and other activities at Memphis Kiddie Park

    Located just 23 miles from Chagrin Falls, Memphis Kiddie Park first opened in 1952, and has not stopped dishing out fun and happiness to kids since then. With 10 amusement rides and other attractions like a miniature golf course, an arcade, and a concession stand, the little ones are sure to have a full day of active fun. The mini train, ferris wheel, merry-go-round, and other classic rides have been designed for safety even for younger children. The mini golf course was built in 1962, and offers hours of delight for kids and adults alike.

  4. Experience fun with the community at the Chagrin Valley Rec Center

    The Chagrin Valley Rec Center, or simply The Rec, is a true community effort. Opened in 1937, this nonprofit gets its funding solely from member dues and a fundraising program. It features three swimming pools, including a zero-depth pool for small children, five tennis courts, a game room, a basketball court, and other facilities. The Rec also holds swimming and tennis lessons, camping activities, and other fun events, such as Tween Nights, Storytime with Chagrin Falls Library, and more.
