1. Rock out at The Rock and Roll Hall of Fame – A mecca for millions of music lovers, The Rock and Roll Hall of Fame features over 50 exhibits that track the evolution of this music genre. Memorabilia you’ll find within this facility designed by I.M. Pei include Michael Jackson’s sparkly glove, Janis Joplin’s Porsche, and plenty of iconic instruments that have made their mark in so many people’s lives.
2. Get your adrenaline going at Cedar Point Amusement Park – Home of The Dragster, Cedar Point is a must-visit for adrenaline junkies and roller coaster lovers. The amusement park is home to 17 roller coasters, a waterpark, resort properties, and more. Some of its rides have earned the recognition as some of the biggest, longest, or fastest in the country.
3. Watch a Cleveland Browns game – Fans of this football team are known to be some of the country’s most enthusiastic and loyal, making for a unique sports event experience. Watch the Cleveland Cavaliers shoot some hoops in a home game – Their recent victory, Cleveland Cavaliers is definitely one of the hottest teams on the NBA, and will continue to be so for a long period of time. If you’re fortunate enough to be in the area when the team has a home game, book tickets as soon as possible to watch the King and his team in all their glory.
5. Get cultured at the Cleveland Museum of Art – Called the CMA by locals, Cleveland Museum of Art is known to be one of the most comprehensive art museums in the country. You’ll be impressed with its staggering collection of approximately 45,000 objects that range from marble Grecian statues, to soothing impressionist paintings by Monet, to modern art installations.
6. Surround yourself with beautiful greenery at the Cleveland Botanical Gardens – Romantic and serene, the Cleveland Botanical Gardens boasts acres of outdoor space where you can relax and contemplate on life’s simple pleasures. It’s also a haven for aspiring botanists, as the facility is home to a variety of exotic plants. Popular features include the Costa Rican Rainforest glasshouse, the Japanese garden, the Hershey Children’s Garden, and the desert glasshouse.
7. Visit any (or all) of the 18 parks of the Cleveland Metroparks – There are plenty of outdoor recreation opportunities in Cleveland, and you don’t even need to go far. Any of the 18 parks included in the Cleveland Metroparks system offer a variety of activities, such as fishing and cycling at the Rocky River Reservation, or hiking at the Euclid Creek Reservation.
