With big-box stores, online services, and e-readers, one would think independent bookstores across the country are now on the ropes. In Cleveland, OH however, many independent bookstores are thriving, with shelves stocked deep with treasures. Some stores are known for filling a niche, like stocking zines or obscure fantasy titles, while others are more popular as venues for book signings, workshops, and other fun events.

Fireside Book Shop has been a destination or book lovers since 1963. Located in downtown Chagrin Falls, the bookstore is housed in a former auto supply store located right below an apartment space.

In addition to its wide selection of titles across different genres, Fireside also organizes author readings and signings, book launches, discussions, and other events. The store also has a trade-in program which exchanges books in good condition for credit which you can spend on existing books and merchandise.
